GST Outreach Programme at Chennai 04 September 2017

Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd. in association with the Central Board of Excise and Customs, Ministry of Finance, GOI organised the “GST Outreach Programme – an interactive session with Commissionerate” on September 4, 2017 at Chennai. Stakeholders were present in large numbers and actively participated in the workshop. Shri K Srinivasan, IRS, Assistant Commissioner GST-Chennai addressed and explained the key aspects of GST covering all the business verticals of the company and also for the society at large. Dr. P. Ravindran, renowned advocate with specialisation in indirect taxes and CA, and Vijay Anand, an eminent Chartered Accountant and Tax Practitioner at Chennai also addressed the participants. Shri Prabal Basu, C&MD, Balmer Lawrie in his key note address emphasised on the advantages of GST and the accomplishments at Balmer Lawrie. Shri S S Khuntia, Director (Finance), Balmer Lawrie in his welcome address spoke in details about the benefits and implications of GST for the society, transparency in the economy, ease of doing business and the entire ecosystem with reference to GST as Good and Simple Tax.
